Advertisements for 1st Talking Movie

The movie Jazz Singer was the first talking movie, released in 1927.  Warners' risky investment of a half million dollars with the brand new Vitaphone sound system which brought profits of $3.5 million in at the box-office.  The movie Jazz Singer advertised by the spread of mouth and  in the being the first talking movie, so the target market was very interested in seeing and experiencing this new kind of film. Also Jolson, America's most popular singer was in the movie so that triggered the audience to want to watch the movie. It may have been advertised by signs on the theaters and around town, maybe on the radio also.  Other possible advertisements includes adds of the Jazz Singer in the newspaper and in store windows

My name is Maddie. I am a fifteen years old and a junior in high school. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Some activities I enjoy include listening to music, rollerblading, biking, watching movies, ice skating, walking my dog, and jumping on trampolines. My family consists of my mom, dad, two older sisters,  niece, step mom, and step siblings. I also have a pit-bull named Elvis who I adore. I do not have a favorite movie but a few I like are The Avengers, Anchor Man 2, Step Brothers, and The Fault in Our Stars. My favorite books are the Percy Jackson series, Harry Potter series, and The Fault in Our Stars.
